DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Each project and client is unique and individual. Design solutions are a matrix of
the requirements and desires of the client, the project environment, both natural
and constructed, and the variety of real constraints imposed on every project.
Experience should serve the client to offer options and avoid problems, not
duplicate prior solutions. The Architect must work with the client to clarify and
prioritize requirements and goals, look for inconsistencies and contradictions
and help to resolve them, and strive to provide a design solution, which reflects
both the use and the user. Created space, both interior and exterior, must not
only function for its intended purpose but must reflect that purpose. Architecture
is the transformation of disparate pieces of requirements, goals, and
constraints, into a clearly logical, esthetically coherent environment of physical
space.
